Who are your video scrapbook tutors?

You may wonder why we’ve created this site, we we call ourselves video scrapbook tutors or consultants, and why we figure we know how to point you in the right direction to easily make a video scrapbook. Good questions!

If you remember from the home page, we (Pam and Gene) lost our fathers a few years ago. Shortly after that, a friend lost his mother and remarked to us how he wished he had a video of her. Well, that struck a chord with us and we started to organize our thoughts about video scrapbooking, the best ways to do it, and how we could help others with free ideas to develop this important project by becoming video scrapbook tutors.

Pam's photo Pam is a clinical psychologist with a very successful practice. She helps clients deal with all manner of personal issues and has a list of people waiting to see her. Her input in our video scrapbook project has been invaluable. Not only does she give you as the scrapbook maker some great ideas, she makes it a snap for the star of your show to really enjoy themselves.

In fact, you’ll discover that your star may resist at first but using Pam’s video scrapbook techniques, they will come around and end up loving the whole thing.

Gene's photo Gene is an award-winning electronic media producer. That once meant television/radio but now it also includes Internet sites, DVD/CD-ROMs, and just about anything else electronic. But the bottom line is that he has been creating, shooting, and editing all sorts of video projects for a long time...he knows what works and how to easily avoid costly and frustrating problems. He is the ultimate video scrapbook tutor.

We really don’t hear any objections from people about making a video or any kind of a loved one...just the comment that “it sure seems complicated.” And this is quite understandable when you start to consider all of the many things that go into making a video like what equipment, making a script or outline, doing the shooting and all of the things to consider there, editing, and on and on. Whew!

So, we decided to make a step-by-step guide of how to accomplish all of this AND add in some extras like the psychological considerations (bet you never thought that was in here) plus some tips and tricks from a veteran TV producer/director who has shot more video in more difficult setting than he’d like to remember.

And again, even if you don’t want to spend the extra time to make a video scrapbook with computer editing, dvd, and all of the things we’ll explain for you, it is important that you still find some way to put your loved on one video. It is important for you, generations to come and...the person who will be the star of the show.

Don’t believe it? Check out how we proved this.
